New RTI book with CRL ties

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Congratulations to Monica Harris, former CRL doctoral fellow, and Evelyn Johnson, former CRL staff member, on the publication of their new book, How RTI Works in Secondary Schools, published by Corwin Press. Monica, a SIM® Professional Developer, is now on the faculty of Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Mich., and Evelyn is on the faculty at Boise State University. Their co-author is Lori Smith, a secondary principal who has successfully implemented RTI. CRL’s Daryl Mellard wrote the forward.

Don Deshler has this to say about How RTI Works in Secondary Schools:

“Their book is conceptually sound and filled with the kinds of nuts and bolts details that practitioners want. This book is going to be exceedingly well received and will make a wonderful contribution to the professional literature!”
