SIM Reading and Writing Strategies
This class is directed toward teachers who work directly with students. Teachers will be introduced to the foundations of SIM Learning Strategies and will receive instruction on implementing research-based interventions to help students acquire the skills necessary to understand grade-level reading materials. Institute participants learn how to implement the Word Identification Strategy, the Paraphrasing Strategy, LINCs Vocabulary Strategy, and Fundamentals and Proficiency in Sentence Writing. Time will be allowed for planning for implementation.
